2022 BIO Girls Official Partner: SCHEELS

BIO Girls is proud to welcome SCHEELS as a 2022 Official Partner!

BIO Girls and SCHEELS impact many of the same communities across the Midwest: from Fargo, North Dakota, to St. Paul Minnesota, and all the way down to Des Moines, Iowa.

"SCHEELS is honored to support such an amazing organization which makes a very positive impression on so many girls across the area. It’s truly humbling to see the impact BIO Girls makes within our communities and the young lives they mentor. We look forward to partnering with them and helping to make a difference in our communities. "

– Marcus Thornton, CMO

Our organizations also share many of the same values. Like SCHEELS, we value our people and we prioritize doing good within the communities we serve. We are grateful for the many SCHEELS employees who have volunteered with the BIO Girls program.

What is really unique about this partnership is that SCHEELS not only agreed to be an Official Partner for 2022, but they agreed to be an Official Partner for three years.

"The employee-owners of SCHEELS are excited to support BIO Girls with a 3-year financial commitment to their growing organization. We are happy to support a non-profit that positively impacts thousands of girls by building their self-worth and self-esteem through service to others, physical activity, and life skills training."

– Michelle Killoran, CFO

We are thrilled about this partnership and the doors this kind of financial commitment will open for us.

Three years ago, BIO Girls reached 1,280 participants through 32 program locations. In 2022, BIO Girls will reach 2,700 girls through 76 program locations. We cannot wait to see where we’ll be in three years.

"We are proud to partner with SCHEELS, an organization that invests heavily in the communities in which they serve. SCHEELS is the first Official Partner to pledge a three-year commitment to enable BIO Girls' bold growth goals which will positively impact the health of the communities we mutually serve. We are thankful for the continued support as we work to reach 1 in 6 North Dakota girls with our mental wellness programming."

— Missy Heilman, BIO Girls Founder, and Executive Director

Thank you, SCHEELS, for your tremendous support of BIO Girls.
