The Power of Serving Others: Caring Catalog 2019

Each year, BIO Girls participants engage in local community service projects and learn, through hands-on experiences, that serving others is not bound by age.

In 2019, our 32 BIO Girls sites across the Midwest set out to conduct a service project in their community.

17,953.

That's the number of people impacted by these BIO Girls giving back in 2019.
BIO Girls service projects ranged from: packing backpacks with food for school kids over spring break to raising money for a local food bank. Filling backpacks for the Back Pack program to making blankets for breast cancer patients. Creating care packages for victims of trafficking, patients at the children's hospital, and residents at the YWCA to yard cleanup for the elderly. Making tie blankets for nursing home residents to holding a lemonade stand raising money for a local father diagnosed with cancer... and so much more.

In 2020, BIO Girls will have more than 2,000 adolescent girls participating in the program to build their self-worth AND serve as young change-makers in their communities.

Can you envision the impact?

This is where the Caring Catalog comes into play. The Caring Catalog is an online, crowdfunding platform hosted by the FM Area Foundation to support the work of nonprofits in the Cass Clay area this holiday season.

About the FM Area Foundation:

The FM Area Foundation is a nonprofit, community foundation created by and for the people of Cass County, North Dakota, and Clay County, Minnesota. The FM Area Foundation helps people give back to the community and ensures the needs of the community are addressed now and in perpetuity.

Working in partnership with individuals, families, businesses and professional advisors, the FM Area Foundation manages charitable funds and provides grants to qualified nonprofit organizations and causes. The FM Area Foundation has been connecting people and purpose since 1960.

Our Goal:
to raise $5,000 to fund service projects for our 55 locations across the Midwest.

BIO Girls provide the man-power while your donation will help fund the supplies needed to complete the service projects. $100 can fund one entire BIO Girls site’s service project for 40 participants.

Can you help BIO Girls, to help others?

Nov. 22 to Dec. 31,

community members can donate to BIO Girls through the Caring Catalog to help us fund our 2020 service projects:

All donations are tax-deductible, and 100% of your gift supports BIO Girls -
The Caring Catalog takes care of credit card fees!
(That’s awesome!!!)
