Crown Jewels + BIO Girls

Crown Jewels, a Fargo-based, family-owned jewelry store has invested in BIO Girls as the premiere sponsor of the annual You Be You Gala.

At the 2019 event, attendees were given the opportunity to win a pair of 1 carat earrings, valued at $2,500, donated by Crown Jewels. At the end of the event, the crowd was holding their breath as the last finalist for the earrings inserted her key and unlocked the box containing the earrings. It couldn't have been more exciting!

Fast forward to 2020, we are grateful to once again have Crown Jewels committed as the premiere sponsor of the 2020 Give A Girl A Voice Virtual Gala, which provides funding to support all 55 BIO Girls locations, impacting thousands of girls.

For the gala this year,

CROWN JEWELS IS DONATING A

Greg Stephens, owner of Crown Jewels, has seen the benefits of BIO Girls first-hand as his three daughters have participated.

What positive changes have you seen in your daughters as a result of participation in BIO Girls?”

“It gives our girls confidence to try new things, they have learned to set goals that they can achieve and how to handle tough social situations in a positive way.”

What is your one sentence response to the question, "Why should girls participate in BIO Girls?"

“A wonderful Christ centered environment where they learn that their beauty is from within."

Jessica Stephens, Greg’s wife, is also a long-time supporter of BIO Girls. Jessica was recently featured on our People Behind BIO blog series! Jessica has been a mentor for 5 years, and is a mother of three participant daughters age 11, 13, and 15.

What drew you to become involved with BIO Girls?

“I have always loved running. I was looking for an opportunity for my daughters to tie in my love of running with an opportunity for them to grow. I was on Facebook one day and I saw a post about BIO Girls and immediately reached out to Missy to ask where I could sign up! I loved the concept of tying in three valuable aspects of life: your mind, your body, and your spirit.”

Why should other parents consider enrolling their daughter in BIO Girls?

Most girls struggle with a lot of things while growing up, and if our girls have learned a lot from BIO Girls then they will as well. BIO Girls is a wonderful investment of time and energy to help girls grow.
