meet Amanda Jo Hendrickson!

BIO Girls Mentor in Thompson, ND

“Sometimes you need the lessons JUST AS MUCH AS THE GIRLS DO.”

From a mother of two BIO Girls herself, Amanda Jo has been pouring her heart into BIO Girls for the past five years to make sure young girls (and adult women) know they are enough. We are so inspired by Amanda Jo’s time and passion that she has put into changing young girl’s lives.

Amanda Jo– thank you, thank you, thank you!

We are so proud of the impact you have made on the lives of young girls in the Thompson community.

To get to know Amanda a little more, we asked her a few questions in regard to her volunteer experience.

  • Why do you love volunteering for BIO Girls?

    • So many reasons! But the main one is to hopefully make a difference in young girls by making them feel valued and loved.

  • Do you have a favorite lesson or mantra?

    • I am enough!

  • Do you have an impactful story to share from your volunteer experience?

    • This program is so incredible! Over the years I have been blessed to get to know so many girls in our community. I have seen how even some of the most closed-off and distant girls will blossom, maybe not the first year but they keep coming back and at some point, there is a shift and I see true happiness and acceptance in their eyes.

Truly impact in action. Thank you, Amanda Jo!
