Meet Nikki Peterson!

Nikki is our Site Director at our BIO Girls site in Marshall County West, MN. Nikki is dedicated to building relationships and bridging the age gaps of the members of her community. She has a passion for her community and a desire to see these young girls succeed and push past barriers. We are so grateful for all she does for the BIO Girls mission.

“Taby and Nikki are another one of our great teams. They are fun to work with and go through the BIO GIrls to-do list very smoothly. They have done a great job with community awareness and gaining the support of the community, which also makes for a smooth and successful program!”

— Angie Will, BIO Girls Programming Team

We asked Nikki a few questions about her involvement with BIO Girls:

What do you do for work?

“I am a stay-at-home mom.”

Name one-way BIO Girls has impacted you personally?

“It has allowed me to build relationships with the girls in the community.”

In one sentence, how do you summarize what BIO Girls provides participants?

“BIO Girls provides a lot of encouragement and a small community that these girls feel supported in.”

What do you think girls would be missing without BIO Girls?
”I think the program helps girls create a bond with peers in school. I think they would miss out on knowing they aren’t alone in some of their thoughts and feelings.”

What drew you to become involved with BIO Girls?

“After reading through some of the weekly topics I thought, even as an adult we struggle with some of these things. Helping girls build confidence at a young age, to understand being unique and different is a really wonderful thing, is very powerful.”

What is one piece of advice you would tell your younger self?

“You’re friends will like you because of who you are not because of anything else.”

Nikki —

The BIO Girls team, the participants you have made an impact on, and the Marshall County community sincerely thank you.
