8th Annual BIO Girls Gala

What a Night

Thank You for an Unforgettable Gala

On October 8th, more than 500 of you filled Butler Arena for the eighth annual BIO Girls Gala, and we are still feeling the warmth of that room.

Thank you. Thank you for showing up, dressing up, playing the games, placing your bids, and believing in the girls at the heart of our mission. To everyone who cheered us on and gave from afar, you were right there with us too.

Nights like this don’t happen on their own.

We’re so grateful to our sponsors, whose generosity made every moment possible, and to the volunteers and staff who poured themselves into every detail. And most of all, we’re grateful to you, the community that keeps showing up for these girls year after year.

The night came with some thrilling news, too. Our Founder and CEO, Missy Heilman, announced the official launch of BIO Girls Club, a brand-new school-based program designed to run right before or after school.

This one is a game-changer.

By bringing BIO Girls directly into schools, transportation is no longer a barrier, participation is completely free, and caring educators can connect girls with BIO Girls who may never have found us otherwise. The pilot of this program earlier this year came with beaming results. With the support of both West Fargo and Fargo Public Schools, BIO Girls Club will be in many local schools beginning this fall.

Supporting our mission doesn’t stop here.

If the night stirred something in you, or if you weren’t able to join us but still feel moved to give, there’s still time. Donations remain open, and every gift makes a difference. And if you want to get involved with our mission, see local volunteering options, lead a program in your neighborhood, or get ready to sign up the 2nd-6th grade girl in your life for one of our 120+ programs.

From all of us at BIO Girls, thank you for standing with these girls. We can’t wait to show you what’s ahead.

With kindness,
The BIO Girls Team
