FM Area Foundation Grant Empowers BIO Girls to Expand Regional Impact
At BIO Girls, we believe that every girl deserves a space where she feels seen, supported, and empowered to grow into her most confident self. Thanks to a generous $5,000 grant funded by the FM Area Foundation, we’re one step closer to reaching even more girls across our region with programming that builds confidence, resilience, and belonging.
The FM Area Foundation is known for championing local initiatives that create lasting, positive change—and we’re honored to be among the 2025 competitive grant recipients. This year, the foundation received 140 applications totaling more than $1.6 million in requested support. We are humbled and proud to have been selected.
This grant will directly support the growth and sustainability of BIO Girls programming in communities surrounding Fargo-Moorhead. From small towns to expanding metro areas, the need for preventative mental wellness support for youth continues to rise—and we’re committed to meeting that need with compassion, intention, and impact.
BIO Girls provides a unique approach to mental wellness, blending mentorship, life skills lessons, and non-competitive physical activity into one powerful experience. With each new site, we create a ripple effect—helping girls grow in confidence and equipping them with tools that last a lifetime.
As we look ahead, this grant is more than financial support—it’s a vote of confidence in the transformative work happening every season at BIO Girls. And with the continued support of our community and partners like the FM Area Foundation, we’re hopeful that even more girls will walk away from our program feeling strong, supported, and ready to shine.
