BIO Girls Site Leader in Barnesville, MN

Connection, Community & Life SKills

With over three years of service as a BIO Girls volunteer, Victoria is committed to sharing confidence and self-esteem boosting strategies with young girls. As a mom to a strong willed little girl, she deeply values not only her daughter’s well-being, but her peers’ well-being too!

When reflecting on her favorite BIO Girls lesson, Celebrating Our Strengths, was at the top of the list.

“I love this lesson as it builds each and every person up by focusing on the good. Someone’s strength might not be the strength of someone else, but that’s ok! Knowing this allows each of us to share our strengths with others to help them while they share in return.”

Over the years, Victoria has had countless meaningful volunteer experiences, many of which include some beautiful transformations as she describes below.

  • I have seen the mild and timid move from outgoing and strong.

  • I have witnessed the potential of a bully be reminded of her strong will and shift that attitude to caring and helping others.

For Victoria, BIO Girls is a necessity.

“Girls of all kinds come, share, and grow BIO (beautiful, Inside and out). No matter the instance of an adolescent girl, the sooner they can have connections, communication, and life skills, the more advanced their self-esteem and service to themselves and others will take place.”

We couldn’t agree more, Victoria!

Thank you for all you do for our program and the girls in your community! You are making a huge impact, one BIO Girl at a time!
