Kira Knutson

Development Manager

Kira Knutson joins the BIO Girls team after more than a decade of working as a music educator and serving local nonprofits. Deeply committed to belonging and connection, Kira is a passionate community-builder who believes everyone deserves to feel empowered and know their worth. She holds a doctorate in choral conducting from The University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, a master’s degree in choral conducting from Boston University, and a bachelor’s degree in music from St. Olaf College.

Kira loves bringing people together around a shared purpose and helping others see how their time, talents, and generosity can make a difference. When she isn't drinking coffee or making music, Kira enjoys spending time with her husband, three kids, and their rescue pup and celebrating the little moments that make life meaningful.
