Meet Ashley Blazek!

Ashley is our Site Director in Fargo, ND at our BIO Girls Dakota Medical Foundation location. Ashley loves building relationships with the girls, seeing how they react to the curriculum, and watching them have 'aha' moments. We are so grateful for all she does for the BIO Girls mission.

We asked Ashley a few questions about her involvement with BIO Girls:

What do you do for work?

“Community Manager - Impact Foundation.”

Share an impactful story from your volunteer experience?

“I just adore getting to know the girls and attempting to meet each one where they're at on any given day. One story that comes to mind is going on our kindness rock spreading run. One gal had made SO many rocks and loaded them up in her pockets, that when we went to go on our run to spread them across town, her pants started to fall down and she was trying like crazy to hold up her pants and quite literally throw kindness at the same time. SO much love to give!”

Favorite lesson or mantra?

“My body serves me!”

Why do you volunteer with BIO Girls?

“I volunteer with BIO Girls because I believe strongly in the mission of empowering the next generation of women through goal setting & self-esteem. I wish I could go back and learn the lessons we teach in the curriculum much sooner in life. My hope is that the future is brighter because the team at BIO Girls is determined to help every little girl know she is cherished, respected, and embraced for being exactly who she is.”

What is your favorite part about BIO Girls?

“Loves that BIO Girls creates a space for kids to feel safe and share who they are.”
