Volunteer Highlight — Bradie Nelk

meeT BRADIE NELK!

HEBREWS 12:1-3 Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in.

Bradie has been volunteering her time as a mentor for the past three years at the BIO Girls Wheaton - Traverse County site. We are so inspired by Bradie’s time and passion that she has put into changing young girl’s lives.

Bradie– thank you! Our team, the girls you have made an impact on, and the Wheaton - Traverse County community sincerely thank you.

  • Why do you love volunteering for BIO Girls?

    • I love running, health, and protecting the mental health of our youth.

  • Do you have a favorite lesson or mantra?

    • This year I LOVED the anxiety one with the fight/flight and amygdala. I am a PT by trade so this was right up my alley!

  • Do you have an impactful story to share from your volunteer experience?

    • No specific situation, just seeing the fear/anxiety/doubt at the beginning of the season transform into confidence, completion, and bravery at the end of the season. Also when I write Hebrews 12:1-3 on the BIO Girls’ arms!
