Sanford Health’s Impact In Action
At BIO Girls, we are deeply grateful for the generosity of Sanford Health, whose support helps us continue empowering girls to build confidence, resilience, and self-esteem. Beyond their financial contribution, Sanford’s impact is seen every week across our program sites—through the 55+ Sanford employees who volunteer their time and hearts to mentor BIO Girls participants.
These dedicated volunteers embody Sanford’s commitment to promoting health and well-being—both inside and outside the walls of their healthcare facilities. Their involvement showcases what it means to care for the whole person, fostering mental, emotional, and physical health in the next generation of girls.
One of those incredible volunteers is Brittney Mueller, Ph.D., MSN, RN, CNML, Vice President of Operations at Sanford Health and a mentor at our BIO Girls House of Prayer site.
“I volunteer with BIO Girls because I believe in the power of mentorship and building confidence in young girls during such a formative stage of their lives,” Brittney shared. “The program’s focus on self-esteem, resilience, and community aligns closely with my own values and desire to positively impact the next generation.”
From lessons in confidence to the inspiring moment when participants cross the finish line at the BIO Girls 5K, Brittney says every season is a reminder of why this program matters.
“Running isn’t for everyone—and a 5K is long! Just watching the girls push through the challenge and finish is truly inspiring. They prove to themselves that they can do hard things—and being a small part of that is so rewarding.”
Brittney is so proud to see Sanford’s ongoing commitment to community wellness reflected through BIO Girls.
“I am especially proud to work for a healthcare organization that supports the BIO Girls program but also encourages its employees to do the same! This is just one example of Sanford’s commitment to promoting both physical and mental well-being in the communities we serve. By investing in initiatives that build confidence, resilience, and healthy habits in young girls, Sanford, and its many employees who volunteer, demonstrate that health extends beyond clinical care and into the broader aspects of personal development and community connection. This alignment reinforces my dedication to the program and strengthens my pride in representing an employer that values whole-person wellness.”
We couldn’t agree more. 💛
BIO Girls is honored to partner with Sanford Health—a company that not only supports our mission but lives it through action. Together, we’re shaping confident, compassionate, and resilient girls who will grow into the strong women our communities need.
Thank you, Sanford Health, for believing in the power of mentorship, confidence, and community.
